Mr. Wilbert "Shawt" Jones was born October 9, 1959 to the late Mr. Willie and Mary Lee Jones in Clay County. As a young child he moved to Live Oak with his family.

Wilbert was educated in the Suwannee County Public Schools System.

Wilbert answered the Master's call on Sunday, November 7, 2021 in Live Oak, Florida, he is preceded in death by his father Willie Lee Jones, mother Mary Lee Cherry, two brothers; Freddie Lee Jones and Raymond Jones, two sisters Mary Perry and Barbara Owens.

Wilbert leaves to cherish in his loving memories: daughter; Rebecca (Andra) Roberson, two sons; Wilbert Jones Jr. and Richard Jones (Jalashea) all of Live Oak, Florida, two brothers; Earnest (Marie) Jones and Jimmie Lee (Lazoni) Jones, both of Mayo Florida, two sisters; Geraldine Owens of Lake City, Florida and Jacqueline (Dessie) White of Live Oak, Florida, sister-in-laws, Sharon Jones and LaWanda Jones. Alone will a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
