Retired, Master Police Officer, Alonzo Eugene Johnson was born in Gadsden County on January 13, 1958 to Annie Beulah Washington. Alonzo was raised by his devoted Uncle and Aunt, Joe Nathan and Julia Bell Jackson.

Alonzo accepted Christ in his life at an early age and enjoyed studying the word of God and Gospel music. One of his favorites was, This Morning when I Rose by, Mossie Burks.

Alonzo, graduated from Havana High School with the Class of 1976. Shortly after high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged after three years of service.

Alonzo, later attended Florida A&M University, majoring in Political Science. Still searching for his passion, he started working with the City of Tallahassee.

Yet, searching for that fit he started working with The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office, in Quincy, Fl, where he worked in the jail as an Officer. After a while he realized he hadn't found the passion of employment he was looking for so, he made the commitment to attend Lively Criminal Justice Academy. Successfully completing  the Academy in 1990!

Alonzo was then employed by the City of Midway Police Department; finally finding his true passion as a Police Officer he later joined forces with the City of Chattahoochee Police Department. While he enjoyed working with the CPD, he made the decision to spread his wings and soar with a larger Department once he knew he found that passion he was looking for in employment. With that being said, Alonzo joined forces with,  The City of Tampa Police Department  in Tampa, FL where he found his fit.

While passionately enjoying his job with TPD, Alonzo held many positions and obtained several achievement awards. He remained with TPD until retirement in 2015. After retirement he relocated to Jacksonville,FL until the Lord called him home.
