Obituary

Peter (Pete) Madison Johnson Sr. peacefully passed away in his home on December 24,2020. He was born on June 1,1937 in Thomaston, Connecticut to Madison Johnson and Eileen Jackman.

Pete Sr. loved animals, in fact he loved them so much he would often share a Pepsi and a Snickers with them.
Peter also loved to be around water. His favorite activity was to grab a cold one and head to the river to swim and as his grandkids would say with the Gators.
He also enjoyed traveling. Many times Pete Sr. would travel to Arizona to visit his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed sleeping on his cot under the stars. He would tell his grandkids he put honey on his toes to let the bears lick it off. He loved his grandkids more than anything.
Pete Sr. lived in many different States including Arizona, California, Connecticut and landed in his favorite spot Florida.
Pete Sr. is survived by two sisters Pat Marchell (CT) and June Sutter (CT). Is two children Pete Johnson Jr. (Lisa) ( GA) and Lisa Johnson (CA) Five grandchildren Ashlie Johnson (AZ), Lisa Johnson (Eric) (AZ), Madelynn Johnson (FL), Justin Westmoreland(Jamie) (CA), and Lacy Westmoreland (CA) Ten Great Grandchildren and 1 on the way. One daughter-in-law Karin Johnson (AZ) one son-in-law Shawn Gintolli (CA)
Pete Sr. is preceded in death by both of his parents and his beloved dog Gypsy.
As his wishes he will be cremated and sent to his final resting spot on his favorite lake in Connecticut.
Services are being planned and will be held for family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers Pete senior's family asks for a tree or plant to be placed in his name.
