Ora Lee Edwards, 88 years of age of Havana, FL, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.  Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 9 at Old Jerusalem M.B. Church, with burial at Piney Grove P.B. Church.

She was a devoted member of Old Jerusalem, where she previously served as an Usher and also presently in the Missionary Ministry.  She attended the former Havana Northside High School, later attending old Lincoln Cosmetology School.  Mrs. Edwards lived most of her life doing what she loved.  She owned and operated Edwards Beauty Salon with her unique way of styling her clients hair.  She was affiliated with the Court Calanthe #79 of Havana, Home Pallbearer Lodge #1, and the NAACP.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, son Leroy Lee Edwards, daughter Gloria Smith, and her beloved husband, Warren Edwards.

She leaves to cherish her memories:  Children, Freddie (Carolyn) Edwards, Robert Edwards, Rodrick Edwards, Vernita Edwards; daughter-in-law, Judy Edwards; Sister, Shirley (Kenneth) Maynor; brother, Fred Hinson; Grandchildren, Bakari Edwards, Verricka Lamb, Travis Edwards, Kimmie Edwards, Joy Smith, Robert Edwards, Jr., Antonio Owens, Stephanie Owens, Victoria Owens and Tamara Edwards; adopted grandchild, Tyrone Davis; Great-Grandchildren; VerShanti Lamb, Wil'Nyah Lamb, Willie Lamb III, Richard McGriff, Javen Smith, Bakari Edwards, Jr., Treyvon Owens; God-child, Denise Hannah; and very special cousin, Lillian Walker (just like a sister); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many loving friends.
