Lorenzo Lewis Jr. was born on December 11, 1950, in Live Oak, Florida and passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020, in Lake City, Florida. He was the son of the Late Lorenzo Lewis Sr. & the Late Queen Esther Ivey.

Lorenzo graduated from Douglas High School, continued his journey to the Job Corps, and became a certified heavy machine operator. He retired from Hancock Timber Company in Live Oak.

He leaves to cherish in his fond memories: one son: Derek Tillman; two daughters Shawn Lewis & Adriah Monique Colson; two sisters: Thelma Ford (Willie) & Arlene Ivey Smith (Kenneth); three brothers: Marlon M. Ivey, Gerald V. Ivey, & Shawn L. Lewis (Maragret). He also leaves many loving grandchildren: Ka'deisha Denise Nails, De'Quan Marquis Johnson, Ja'Vion Kenneth Jones, Rufus Lee McGee lll, Asiah Te'Yanna McGee, Kaylie Ariana Lewis, John Obeah George Jr., & Semaj Micahel Linton Danforth.

He was proceeded in death by his grandson Jalen Jamal McGee.

Known by Pete, Cat, Skeeter or Dude, he was loved by many and checked-in with family and close friends often. Pete was authentic, didn't like to laugh, said very little, and loved the simple things in life. Most of the days, you could ride by and see Pete sitting on his porch, watching the people go by, and minding his business. He played a special part in the lives he touched and will be dearly missed.
