Ernest Lamar Ivey, affectionately called "Ernie" by those who loved him, was born on Friday, April 19, 1985, in Live Oak, FL, to Deaconess Renita (Hall) Ivey and Deacon Willie James Ivey, Sr.  He passed away in Gainesville, FL, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.  When he attended church, it was at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, Fort Union.

Ernest attended Suwanee County Public Schools and there one of his favorite things to do was play football. He also worked with Anderson and Columbia Construction.

Ernie will be well remembered for his sense of humor and ability to light up a room. Family was of utmost importance to him. He loved and cherished his children as well as his nieces and nephews. He was protective when it came to his family. He told his children and his nieces and nephews to, "…stay out of trouble, focus on your career and make something out of yourself"! Ernie would help you with anything, but would talk "junk" before, during, and afterwards.  He loved attending E'Nadren's football and basketball games.

Ernest Lamar Ivey will be deeply missed by his son, E'Nadren Ivey and daughter, Zy'Lashia Allen; his beloved parents, Deaconess Renita (Hall) Ivey and Deacon Willie James Ivey, Sr., sister, Viola (Ivey) Brown; ex-wife, Eltimeka Livingston; niece, Jasmine Nails, and nephews, Javell Nails, Reginald Brown, Jr. and Ja'Quan Brown; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends who will deeply cherish his memory.
